The artist, a lover of the nude figure, faithful and constant to her subject-matter, attempts to portray in her work, the passing of the psyche through the movement of the body, its posture and its sensuous immobility. Her works are dominated by an unspecified peaceful immobility combined and complimented by an expressive and often times surprising austerity.

The dynamics of her work are to be found in the attempt to “translate” human emotions by giving them a material substance, by translating them into body movements. The nude figure becomes an allegory of human expression and the naked body is transformed into the vehicle that brings emotions out in the open. Sadness, joy, melancholy, jubilation is sketched out in every brush-stroke, in every muscle, crevice and gesture of the body.

The body becomes a microcosm, splendid in its magnitude and the brush of the artist focuses in unraveling the soul through the mechanics of movement, the posture and the inherent eroticism that springs from its serene immobility. The naked figures on canvas become the imprints of the soul’s movement and their passing through time and space. The constant and unceasing vibrations of the soul are revealed in their entire splendor and in all their magnitude.

Mostly in all her art-work the female body takes center stage. Its relentless and ruthless power is revealed as the female body becomes the most absolute the most powerful vehicle for emotions. Through the silence of movement one can see the un-seen, hear the un-heard, touch the un-touched. A woman’s electrifying gaze, strong enough to subdue or to elevate, to condemn or to condone, woman as angel and devil, woman as gentle as the smooth summer breeze, as rough as brimstone and hail. They are all there, all the un-spoken emotions, the sorrows, the joys, the questions that linger in the veils of silence.

All is there a woman is there…silence…

…the nude alone is well dressed…..
